If you use a moisturizer that is full of antioxidants, especially vitamin C, you will be helping your skin to look younger. Antioxidants even help to reverse damage that has already been caused. Antioxidants work by stopping inflammation of skin and by helping to minimize damage that is caused by UV Rays.

Exfoliate Your Skin:

This technique has been around for ages. It is very effective and helps to keep your skin clean and clear. Try and do this at least twice a week, and use a product that contains glycolic or lactic acid. This helps to remove the dead cells from your skin. The end result will be cleaner and younger looking skin.

Use A Moisturiser:

If you are not already using one, start now! The more hydrated your skin is the healthier it will be. In addition a good thick layer of moisturiser also protects your skin more from the elements you are facing. Dry and damaged skin ages a lot more quickly than well moisturized skin. So try and use a moisturiser at least five times a week.

Retinoids:

Retinoids can be used at night to help repair your skin while you sleep. This is the perfect time to use a product. Your body is in recovery and heal mode, so why not help to repair your skin as well. Retinoids are a derivative of Vitamin A, and are now available via prescription in most Countries. The product also helps to make your skin more elastic, which minimizes damage in the future. Definitely a good product if you want to look younger!

Refined sugar has to be one of the most lethal products on the market today. Sugar is bad for you on many levels and can cause a range of diseases and cell damage. Sugar can also age your skin, and make you look much older than what you are. So try and minimize your sugar intake.  In today’s modern era, it is very difficult to avoid it completely, however if you cut back on soft drinks and lollies you will go a long way to helping your body and your skin.

While many new theories involve avoiding sun light, we don’t take this approach. While we of course recommend using sunscreen, getting a small amount of sun light each day will keep you healthier and happier.

To keep your skin healthy you also need to be healthy on the inside.  Eat a well-balanced diet and ensure you obtain a variety of antioxidants and healthy omega 3 fats.  This way your skin will be glowing on the outside.
